The BULLS RACING TeamThe history
With the two established professions Karl Platt and Stefan Sahm, the story of success of Team Bulls started in 2007. The duo quickly drew attention with their grandiose successes in long-distance races, immediately winning the legendary Cape Epic, the Transalp and the Trans Germany in their very first year.
Over the course of the years, the duo has grown into a large and powerful team with athletes from three nations who cover almost every area of Cross Country and Marathon. In addition to the race for wins and success, BULLS also takes responsibility towards young athletes very seriously.
A unique concept of promotion for young talent is to guide them to the top slowly but steadily without any performance pressure. The "young wild ones" are fully integrated into the team and are allowed to watch their role models at any time in joint training camps and races to learn their craft for the pro-business. Overall wins in the Juniors' and U23 Federal league and the title of the U23 marathon European champion prove that his concept pays off. The future starts now!
Our BULLS Racing Team
THE PASSION TO RIDE - THE WILL TO WIN
Karl Platt, Urs Huber, Thomas Dietsch, Tim Böhme, Stefan Sahm and Simon Stiebjahn – these six names will catch the attention of everyone who knows who is who in international bicycle racing. Hunting for wins and medals, these six endurance machines race for Team BULLS around the globe. Cape Epic, Transalp, Grand Raid Cristalp or national and international Championship medals – there is hardly anything that Platt and Co. have not won yet. The secret of their success is not only in their twelve strong legs, but also in the close connection between the "boys". Thousands of kilometres shared in the saddle merge Karl, Urs, Thomas, Tim, Stefan and Simon into a unit in which everyone can trust in the others' support unconditionally.
Our Junior Team
YOUNG TALENTS READY FOR TAKEOVER
BULLS has been successful in promotion of young talent for many years and is supporting young talents on their way to the top.
The "young wild ones" Martin Frey, Niklas Schehl and Björn Traenckner are able to rely on professional structures and are thus given the opportunity to freely unfold their potential. They can watch their experienced team colleagues Platt, Huber, Sahm, Dietsch, Böhme and Stiebjahn and learn from them often. This combination of professional sports and development work has proven to be a very good concept. Medals won in national and international young championships speak a clear language. Particularly the latest switch of internally trained talent Simon Stiebjahn into the pro section proves the quality of this concept. Befitting the leading idea of “Success made by BULLS”, the young man – now 24 years old – won the gold medal in the U23 European Marathon Championships in 2012 and proved that he was ready for higher goals among the pros with his overall win at the Trans Schwarzwald.
Martin Frey, Niklas Schehl and Björn Traenckner have a long way to go until they reach the top, but these "young wild ones" are facing a golden future with BULLS!
ONLY AS STRONG AS THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT
The "staff", mechanics, physical therapists and team managers of Team BULLS, are those who work behind the scenes and form the team's backbone. They are experienced specialists in their areas and form a sworn community that has only one goal: to make the processes in the team as perfect and smooth as possible to offer the pros around the world the best environment for top performance.
Lukas, Geri, Simone, Vincent, Tobias, Moritz and Friedemann do not act as anonymous persons in the background, but are a fixed part of the BULLS family with an unshakable basis of trust, friendship and the shared passion for cycling.
